Spring Sing

Ella’s preschool had it’s spring program last night! Here are lots of pictures and some videos.

I did a photo shoot for a friend and needed to scout out the location so we brought Ella the day before to check the lighting. I think they turned out pretty nice

Steve won a free night at the Brown Palace. It’s a must see in Denver, rich in history and very old. My good friend was able to let Ella spend the night at her house so Steve and I could escape for a day.

There are at least 3 different restaurants in the hotel so after dinner I got hungry…again, and we decided to get dessert sent up to our room.

We also got free Valet Parking and Breakfast!

I’m starting to hate going out in public because I’m sure to do at least one really silly/stupid thing. Sure enough I didn’t disappoint. Unfortunately this little morsel was compliments of the chef and while I was picking up the spoon I managed to flip it across the table and have it land in the floor. Very Classy! But Steve assures me it was pretty tasty, so I’ll just have to take his word for it.

There are way too many pictures of pregnant me these days, in fact I think there are just a handful of me 5 yrs. ago with Ella but alas here are some photos of the happy couple. It was really fantastic and thanks to my husband for such a neat and free escape.

We love Space at our house, space rockets, astronauts, and especially Pluto so when we heard Ella was learning about the Solar System in Preschool we thought that was pretty exciting. It was even more exciting when the teacher heard that Steve was able to come and share some special things with her classes about the planets and space stuff they were learning.

How cool for Ella's dad to be there teaching her little friends about the planets. I know for me I loved it every time my own Father came to talk about eyes, gave out little prizes and dissected cow eyeballs. (that part was actually kind of gross) But not everyone's dad gets to do that so I'm glad Ella and I can both share the same feeling of, "that's my dad!"

P.S. We had just gotten our new iPad 2 and it was perfect for the presentations. The kids asked really funny questions, like if Steve had ever seen the movie Space Camp and mostly they just wanted to tell Steve the things they had learned. Four year olds are amazing.
