Halloween Weekend

This year Ella was Quorra from Tron Legacy, one of our favorite movies.  Putting the costume together was no small task and Steve did a fantastic job, no glow sticks here…her glow was electric and a big hit.

I got the chance to help out during the classroom party, it was so fun to see her having fun with her friends.

This little boy didn’t know what Tron was, his mother told me he picked the costume because it had a cool disc.

The next day was the Ward Halloween Party.  My family had given me a mickey mouse outfit for Thomas and I knew it would make the perfect costume, but of course I had to match.

On Sunday I had to take some photos of the cutest little boy EVER!  I thought he looked pretty dapper next to his daddy and with his little orange hat.

KY Comes to Town

Thanks to some frequent flyer miles about to expire we were able to fly my dad out for the baby blessing.

Ella didn’t want me to go alone to the airport so she got herself gussied up, complete with princess crown and wand to pick up Umpa.

Auntie Erin made some cute hats for the kids and as you can see Thomas is pretty excited, he couldn’t contain himself.

Thank you daddy for coming out, it was great!

I always get weepy when one of my family has to leave and this time was no exception, although it made it easier to know I’ll be with them for the holidays.  I love my family and wish I lived closer but happy to know I won’t live any farther away.  Thank goodness the plane rides from Denver are only a few short hours.  Also very special is that I made sure to wear the pearl necklace my mom gave me when Gabriella was blessed, so in a small way they were all here with me.  

Utah comes to visit

It was a busy weekend here in Denver and it was all because of this little guy…

Our Utah family made the drive out and it was a blast.  Lots of memories were made, there was some Rock Band playing, some fondue eating and Ella’s pet fish came back to life.

On Sunday Thomas was given a wonderful blessing by his father…it also happened to be the same day as the primary program so everyone got to see Ella sing and get up to do her speaking assignment.  After the meeting we went outside to take some lovely photos.

The Best Big Sister

When I was pregnant Ella wasn’t super interested in the baby, although every night in her prayers she always asked Heavenly Father to please “bless the baby” that’s how I knew she cared.  Once he was born Ella was pretty interested but now she is like a little mommy.  She can’t wait for his “wake” time so she can play with him.  She will take the pee pee diapers to the trash, find the binkies and do pretty much anything else we ask of her except touch the poopy diapers (smart girl).  Ella has been such a big help to me and I just love her to pieces.  As I was singing “you are my sunshine” to Thomas, Ella stopped me at the part that goes “my only sunshine” and said “Not your only.”  So true…Ella and Thomas you are my sunshine.
