Blogging, Where Art Thou

So......it's been a long long time.
2013 has been pretty interesting thus far and I'm sure these last few months of the year will be jam packed and full of new and wonderful things.

Easter was a wonderful! Thomas and Ella had such a wonderful time searching for Eggs!

Ella and I got "free" tickets to see Marry Poppins!  It was super fun and we had amazing seats up close, what a wonderful time to spend with my sweetest girl!

Summer time we spent 4th of July in the Mountains, it was lovely!
Ella kept on swimming,
The summer brought birthdays galore!
And a Giant Stuffed Dog!

So here's to much more fun and hopefully more blogging!

Spring Break Highlights Day 1

I think this is the best time of my life...so far.  Ella and Thomas are still little and we can enjoy so many things.  I'm still youngish and for the most part healthy enough to get out and play with my kids.  Sports and all that extra stuff that kids do when they get middle school/high school age hasn't taken time away.  Not yet anyway, so for now,  for me this is the best time of my life.  I'm sure as the kids older it will be the best too, I just want to savor the fun, the little fingers, the sweet smiles, and little kid laughter.

Here is a recap of our Spring Break:  Steve had to travel that week for work so it was just me and the kids.  Our first day took us to the Butterfly Pavilion, Ella was really excited and picked out her outfit to match the Flowers and Butterflies.  I love this girl so much!
Ella held Rosie the Spider!  She is much braver than me!

  We saw lovely Sea Creatures!

And of course we saw lots and lots of Butterflies!

Here is the best shot I got of Thomas that day!

More to come...

Thomas and beyond

Here is Thomas in early March.
He is so funny!  He loves his sister very much, he says "bye bye Daddy" when he goes to bed and loves to say "ahh" when he gives hugs.  Loves to play with whatever his big sister is playing with.

He loves to dance and has now come to climbing and dancing on the storage boxes.
 He is amazing!

Kitchen Fun

March: 12th
I love silly days, this is one of them...oh, and Twinkies!  Pretty much a perfect combination.

My sweet helper

Let the Silly"ness" begin!
Mr. T found his sister's sunglasses, pretty fancy!

He decided to share and as all good brothers do he put them on her.

Seeing Eye to Eye

March Madness and How to catch a Leprechaun

March has been pretty interesting around here, lots of snow, then none, Ella lost her other front bottom tooth at school while eating her snack and swallowed her tooth in the process.  Then the next day Ella got hurt after school when part of the chain link fence fell on her, luckily she was fine (me, not so much, I was so worried).

Most recently we've been working on our March Family Project, a trap to catch a tricky Leprechaun.  After searching the web and Pinterest for ideas we found one in particular we liked and could easily do with our own fancy changes.  We used a wipes case, bought green duck tape, and a bunch of St. Patrick's Day stuff.  Here is what we came up with...

And here are the photos after we added clouds, a ladder and a small window with bars for when that tricky fellow gets caught!

"Gold Inside Here Too"  Ella is so cute!

 "The Jail"
 "Lots of glittery gold!"
"Do not come up"  (reverse psychology works every time right?

Finished Project!

Snow Day!

March 9th

We got a lot of snow on Saturday and the kids took advantage of all that "white stuff"

Daddy and Ella made a fort!
But Thomas was sad,

he fell down, threw some snowballs and then he was glad.
It was so fun to watch them play on our Blizzard Saturday.
