The Sea Lions were Ella’s favorite

This one, not so much.  The puff on her hat was great as a smell blocker!

Hello!

IMG_7797

Today Thomas had his 4 month check:  This kid grew A Lot.  He went from the 50th percentile to the 90th in everything.

Weight: 16 lbs. 15 1/2 ounces

Head: 17 1/4

Height: 95th percentile,  26 1/2 inches

The Doctor was very nice and said he is just big but not fat, and he will look older than he is but that he is still just a four month old.

Poor guy is having a hard time today from his shots…hoping he feels better fast!

A moment in time

Just thinking about little toes and little hands.  How sweet and yet how sad time flies by.

Beautiful Children
”A golden moment pressed in stone
To bring such beauty into this home.
Change forever my life so cold
To give this treasure I can hold.
Sparkling eyes of innocent blue
Purest, honest love so true.
Smiles that brighten the darkest day
Curious minds and hands at play.
Growing brightly, strong at will
Beautiful children my heart you fill.
Nurture your mind, nurture your soul
Touched forever, my heart behold.”

Jolly Holiday Part 1

Since we were traveling to see my family for Christmas this year we decided to do things a bit differently…

Steven and I decided to open our gifts early so we could enjoy them and we especially wanted this little girl to get some quality playing time, so about three days before we left we got our Christmas from Utah!

We opened our gifts from each other too but that will be for another post…

Off to my old KY home we went.

We were able to visit Grandpa Pete and Mawma.  I made sure to put Thomas in his new UK duds and I just happened to match.

Thomas was great! He let Pawpa hold him, feed him.  He kept saying how strong Thomas was, muscles!

Thomas even jabbered back to Grandpa, it was really neat to see him with his Great-Grandpa.

Christmas came!  What a joy to see Ella run to the tree to find her gifts and a special surprise.  One gift she asked for was left by Santa in Denver…thank goodness Santa sends email.  Steve was able to show her the Doll House she asked for under our tree back home!

Thomas got some sweet things from Santa too, perfect for giving messy kisses. IMG_7394IMG_7390IMG_7407
Ella got to decorate two trees, one for Thomas and one for her!

Talk about surprises, Santa brought me a little something too!
